REPLACEMENT ENGINEERING
Compabloc plate pack replacement
Retain the existing casing only when its condition and interfaces support a replacement welded plate pack.
- Define the replacement scope
- A replacement plate pack is a welded heat-transfer core. Identify which panels, columns, headers, supports and connections will be retained. Their condition must be assessed before confirming reuse.
- Review the thermal and mechanical interfaces
- Provide the nameplate, thermal datasheet, general arrangement drawing and available core drawings. Review plate geometry, channel arrangement, baffles, sealing faces, dimensions and fluid connections together.
- Agree materials and acceptance checks
- Confirm both fluid compositions, operating and design conditions, plate alloy, panel seals and allowable pressure drop. Agree inspection, dimensional checks and pressure or leak testing against the applicable design and project requirements.
- Plan installation and recommissioning
- Check lifting access, panel-removal space, shutdown timing and responsibility for site work. Define installation checks and performance acceptance before ordering.
PANSTAR equipment is offered as an engineered alternative. Alfa Laval, Compabloc, GEA and Kelvion names identify existing equipment; no OEM origin or affiliation is claimed. Compatibility is assessed for each project.
