GEA / Kelvion K°Bloc replacement
Evaluate a PANSTAR welded block exchanger as a complete-unit alternative for an existing GEA / Kelvion installation.
- Confirm the existing equipment
- Use the nameplate and drawings to identify the exact GEA Bloc, K.BLOC or Kelvion K°Bloc model and configuration. Search terminology alone is not sufficient for equipment identification.
- Scope: the complete exchanger
- This route covers complete-unit replacement. K°Bloc core interchange is not offered. A proposed unit is selected against the process duty and installation rather than assumed to be a direct dimensional match.
- Check the installation interfaces
- Review nozzle orientation, flange standards, support positions, foundation loads, overall dimensions and maintenance clearance. Identify required piping or structural changes before confirming scope.
- Confirm engineering acceptance
- Assess thermal performance, pressure drop, design conditions and material compatibility. Agree drawings, inspection requirements and acceptance documentation for the proposed equipment.
